You may wonder why i choose this picture in my culture, it just that i use to play Karate
with my group members. in fact this not the sport but is the Chinees culture as you know
that we as Zulu people are trained when we go to Ekwaluseni, where the boys are fighting
as the preparation for adulthood and self defence if he is fighting. it is the same thing
Applies here and i can say it is more that enough here becasue even the old people don not
leave this culture. i started plainf Karate here in the University of KwaZulu Natal. i started
very painfully trained by Sempai E.Masondo(2007) when i came in.them i improve my skill in this
game because i ended up winning the trophies when i was allowed to play outside the campus.
what you see on top is our training session which took place from 4:30 to 6:00.
if you are living nearby Durban have visted Durban and wish to trian with us you can contact me
@ (072) 3154318 or just Email me @ training. for more information about the Karate you
can visiste this intereting site for Kyokushin Kata.

UMEMULO dance, by the Girls

I am very obsessed to my culture, even though i can not dance the other kind of dance
but the Zulu chants are stimulating my interest such that i can`t wait infron of
the crowd i will eneter and dance. their songs are very humming and charming to those who
did not listen to it, it is worse to those who know it. Umaskandi is my favorite music if
I am at home and university. The cultural Activities are as follows:

  • Scathamiya Dance by men
  • Isishameni Dance by boys
  • Umemulo Dance by girls
  • Amahubo by the men and girls
  • Umzansi Dance by both girls and boy
  • Indlamu Dance is very nice if it consist of both but mijorit are boys
To find out more about the above mentioned Zulu dance you can connet to Amandla kaZulu.
and learn more about our dressing together with our dance. the Zulu dance rocks Baba!!
